Hi! I’m Shauna I love running and I love Jesus and this is a perfect opportunity:)!
Our family is passionate about doing justice and loving mercy (Micah 6:8). We are together pursuing opportunities to bring a voice to the voiceless around our world. I have seen first hand the impact of human trafficking and I desire to build awareness for how serious this issue is. I want to bring freedom to those who can't free themselves. Join me in coming alongside these organizations that are doing the work of freeing and helping these people survive!
Join me as I take my advocacy a step further by running and fundraising on behalf of Freedom 4/24 and Street Ransom in the Hokie Half Marathon on September 23.
Throughout the training process my goal is to raise $1,000 for victims and survivors of human trafficking. In addition to fundraising, as I train I will write the names of trafficking survivors on my arms, as motivation and a reminder of who I'm running for. The funds I raise will go towards Freedom 4/24 and their international partners working on the frontlines with victims and survivors of human trafficking in India, Uganda, and Thailand. The funds will also support Street Ransom, a non-profit providing direct services to trafficking and sexual exploitation victims in Roanoke. Join me as I run for freedom in Blacksburg, Virginia and give a voice to the voiceless.
