Help Me Fundraise and Run for Freedom!

Please join me as I take my advocacy a step further by running and fundraising on behalf of Freedom 4/24 and Street Ransom in the Hokie 5k on September 23.

Hi everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Several years ago, I attended a Freedom Sunday at a local church put on by International Justice Mission that spoke on the new form of slavery that exists today, human trafficking. As I sat and listened to the speaker give the staggering statistics and how it plagues even our hometown, I knew that I had to do something. Since then I have been researching and learning and getting involved doing various volunteer activities. And I am super excited to let you know about this current opportunity that I have to raise awareness and funds by participating in a local 5k to fight human trafficking.

I have begun my training and throughout the training process my goal is to raise $1,000 for victims and survivors of human trafficking. In addition to fundraising, as I train I will write the names of trafficking survivors on my arms, as motivation and a reminder of who I'm running for. The funds I raise will go towards Freedom 4/24 and their international partners working on the frontlines with victims and survivors of human trafficking in India, Uganda, and Thailand. The funds will also support Street Ransom, a non-profit providing direct services to trafficking and sexual exploitation victims in Roanoke. Join me as I run for freedom in Blacksburg, Virginia and give a voice to the voiceless.
