Provide Education for graduates from Christine's House in Uganda

Freedom 4/24 and First Presbyterian Day School are partnering to provide education for graduates from Christine's House, in Uganda, allowing these young women to have a future and a hope through the ability to care for themselves and their families.

Christine's House is a place of hope and restoration where victims and restoration where victims and survivors of sexual exploitation can learn to breathe again. In northern Uganda, life is very hard on women in general, and girls in particular. Girls as young as 12 or 13 are raped by older men as they are on their way to schools, doing chores, or walking on remote paths. Teenage girls are forced to drop out of school and get married because of the economic benefit to their parents. These events and abuses usually prevent many girls from continuing their education past elementary school. Christine’s House allows the healing process to begin for girls who have experienced extreme trauma and abuse.

To continue their healing process through empowerment, Christine's House partner provides a one-year course of training that not only gives the students a useful skill, but also provides additional resources and skills that will ultimately help them to be successful businesswomen. The school is available to graduates of Christine’s House as well as any young woman who seeks to learn a skill to help herself become economically empowered.

DONATE TODAY to help First Presbyterian Day School reach their goal of providing tuition for 13 Christine's House graduates to receive life skills training and education.
